Amigos de las Aves is a Costa Rican non profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the two native macaw species, both of which are endangered, the Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) and the Great Green or Buffon's Macaw (Ara ambiguus). Join us in a unique opportunity to learn and study the large Macaws in Costa Rica. Be a part of an organization committed to the conservation of Costa Rican Macaws, an organization unselfish in its motives, and highly successful in its objectives.

Roles and advantages
Work with large Macaws whilst participating in the following:
- Observing bird behaviour and Monitoring nestboxes
- Environmental enrichments
- Feeding and playing with birds
- Cleaning and a variety of other tasks
- Also take advantage of:
- Enjoying the wonderful gardens and stunning wildlife on the property.
- Staying in the comfortable homestay with all your meals being prepared for you and your laundry done. They will also help organise days out for you.
