Grupo Lobo works toward the conservation of the wolf and the wolves' habitat in Portugal, where the wolf population has been declining fast for many decades. The IWRC Volunteers' Programme is intended for people who want to help conserve and protect one of nature's most beautiful and mysterious creatures- the Iberian wolf.

- Accommodation for Volunteers is in a new chalet-type guest-house fully equipped with all modern conveniences
- However food not provided in cost (still would work out relatively cheap)

Roles and advantages
You will undertake the following roles and gain a wide range of experience
- Helping with the feeding of the wolves 3 times a week
- Checking their water supplies
- maintenance of the IWRC infrastructures and property
- Monitoring the health and well-being of the wolves
- There is also the possibility of volunteer undertake practical conservation by participating in research work on Grupo Lobos projects.
