Reef Check is an international non-profit organization devoted to Educating the public and governments about the value of coral reefs. Reef Check is creating a global network of volunteer teams, trained and led by scientists, that regularly monitor and report on reef health using a standard method
They are always looking for volunteers! Whether you are located in Southern California or the South Pacific, or if you are a diver or not, Reef Check teams around the world can use your help.

Roles and advantages
If you are interested in conservation the following are needed:
- Marine Scientists- Team scientists, preferably marine biologists with a Master's degree and reef experience, to help train team members in taxonomy, survey techniques and to lead surveys.
- Dive Professionals
- Recreational Divers- help survey reefs
- Fundraising and office work
- Marketing of organisation
