Key Information

  • Food and accommodation are not included. Recommended living allowance is $300-$400 a month for food, accommodation & transport. We are able to provide airport pick up and drop off, and will help with other practical arrangements including fundraising ideas. It may be possible to provide a living allowance for this post which can be negotiated at the time of application.

Roles and advantages

Roles:

  • Business and product development manager- This is an exciting opportunity for an experience business and product development manager to support us in developing our Rainforest Tea programme and providing sustainable and alternative incomes to a small community in Baddegama, just outside of Galle.
  • Project Manager- We are looking for an organised and flexible person to help implement our biodiversity, conservation and tourism projects. You will be working with the Programme Manager to organise events, write reports, develop and implement project strategies.
  • Human Resources- Over the past 8 years our organisation has grown from a small group of people to a large team of field officers, education officers, biodiversity officers, managers and administration staff. We are looking for someone to help develop a staff appraisal system that is sympathetic to our work culture, and to train staff in how to make the most of the system. We would also like this person to oversee the implementation of the system and help develop a staff handbook.
